I always find it funny how time is spent when you create a drawing/painting:
45 % of the time is spent exploring and finding the idea, 10 % is spent executing the idea and what makes the most difference, 45% is spent polishing and creating details.
Every stage is as much important as the previous one but can only work if you took the time to do things right. It's just that the 1st and last step takes a lot of time and are barely seen, yet they make so much difference. It also feels like that as long as you don't move on, the time spent is exponential, which is something that I'm trying to be aware of.

"We're just f**** monkeys in shoes"

Sometimes you start doodling and after a while you wonder how and why you got there.

The Giant Mighty Bear

This one deserve an explanation. It is based on a sketch for the quadruped project, it was a direction we liked in the group but didn't choose in the end.

I got inspired for the mood by the TAW Bachelor movie Vaesen directed by Adrian Dexter.

I also tried using Aaron Blaise's technique of using photograph as a base for texture. I'm pretty happy with the overall result, even though the photograph doesn't blend so well sometimes.

Croquis Sketches

Color Study

I started doing color study again. This one I had the most struggle with and I'm not entirely satisfied with it but I can't go any further as I find it a confusing base to work on. Let see how it goes in the future.

Chibi me

I decided to draw a chibi version of myself. I've never drawn any chibi before so it was pretty fun :)

2 Hipsters

Hipsters are fun to draw as you can be very creative with them. Might do more of those in the future.
